Bring in your job photos from CompanyCam

If your crew already shoots every job in CompanyCam, those photos are the best thing you can put on your site — real roofs, in your town, done by you. The editor can pull them in directly, so nobody has to download pictures to a phone and upload them again.

What you need#

An access token from CompanyCam. In CompanyCam, click your icon → "Access Tokens" → create one. It is a long string of characters; copy it. We use it only to load your photos and never store it, so keep it somewhere you can find it again if you want to import more later.

Import the photos#

1. Open your site in the editor and find a photo gallery or a before-and-after block. Not got one? Tap "Add a section" and add one.
2. Tap "Import from CompanyCam" (it reads "Add more from CompanyCam" once the gallery has photos in it).
3. Paste the token into "CompanyCam access token" and tap "Load my photos".
4. Your most recent photos appear as a grid — around fifty of them. If your account uses tags, a "Filter by tag" menu appears above the grid; picking a tag reloads the grid with only those photos.
5. Tap the photos you want. Each one you pick gets a number badge. Tap it again to unpick it.
6. Tap "Add photos". For a before-and-after block the button reads "Use as before & after" instead.

The photos are copied into your own site's storage, not linked to CompanyCam. That matters: they keep working on your site even if you later change your CompanyCam token, or stop using it altogether.

The limits, and why they are there#

• A gallery holds up to 12 photos, and one import adds at most 12.
• A before-and-after block needs exactly two, and the order you tap them is the order they are used: first pick is the "before", second is the "after".
• Photos marked internal-only in CompanyCam never appear here. CompanyCam has a flag for shots that are not for marketing, and we honour it — those are filtered out before you ever see the grid, so you cannot publish one by accident.
• A photo's description in CompanyCam becomes its caption, shortened to about 80 characters. Some designs show captions and some do not; the editor tells you which you have.

When it does not work#

"Load my photos" failing usually means the token was copied incompletely or has been revoked in CompanyCam — create a fresh one and paste it again. If the grid loads but is empty, either the tag you picked has no photos, or every photo on that account is marked internal-only. If a photo is skipped during the import, it was too large, in a format we cannot use, or no longer on the CompanyCam account; the editor says how many were skipped, and the rest still land.
