Preview your site and claim it
Click through every page, share the preview link, try different designs, then claim the site with an email link or 6-digit code. Claiming is free.
Your new site lives at roofpropage.com/s/your-business-name-xxxxxx (the short code on the end is normal — it keeps your address unique). It's a free draft: anyone with the link can look at it, but search engines are told to ignore it and the quote form doesn't work yet. Take your time and check every page before you claim it.
- Tap through the menu — Services, Service Areas, Materials, About Us, Our Process, Free Estimate, Contact — and open each page. On a draft the quote form shows "This site is a preview. Publish it to start receiving leads."
- Try other looks with the ‹ and › arrows in the purple bar at the top, or tap the design name between them (it reads like "Summit · 3 of 8") to open a tray showing all 8 designs. Whatever design is showing when you claim is the one we keep. You can change it later.
- Share the preview: copy the address from your browser and text it to your spouse or crew. Right after the build, under the green banner, there's also a box, "Want the link emailed to you so you don't lose it?" — enter your email and tap "Email me the link". Do it before you tap away: the box only shows on that first landing page.
- When you're happy, tap "Claim this site" in the purple bar. The bar reads "Free while it's a draft · $49/mo when you publish · cancel anytime".
- On the "Claim [your business]" page, enter your "Email" and tap "Email me my claim link". You'll see "Check your email".
- Open the email and click the link — or type the code into "Or enter the 6-digit code from the email" and tap "Continue". Handy when the email is on your phone but you're on a computer.
What claiming means#
Claiming attaches the site to your email address so only you can edit and publish it. It costs nothing and doesn't start billing. The first person to claim a site gets it — if you see "That site is already claimed by another account", someone else got there first. After claiming you land on your dashboard and the purple bar disappears from the site. To change the design from now on, tap "Edit" on your site card — the design picker lives inside the editor. From there you can edit words and photos, or publish. See Edit words and photos and Go live.
If you typed your email (in either box) but didn't finish, we send one reminder email, "Claim [your business]'s website — it's ready", between 2 hours and 3 days later. It goes out once per site, never more, and its button takes you back to the same claim page.
