Where your leads go
Every quote request lands in an instant email you can call or text back from, plus your dashboard inbox. Weeks with leads also get a Monday recap.
Every quote request from your site's form goes three places: an instant alert email, your dashboard inbox, and (only in weeks you had form leads) a Monday summary. Leads start once your site is live — a draft site shows "This site is a preview. Publish it to start receiving leads." in place of the form. See Go live.
The instant alert email#
The moment a homeowner hits send, we email you. The subject starts "New lead from" and ends with their name and your business. Inside: their name, phone, message, and — when we know it — where they came from, such as a Google ad or a direct visit. The phone number is a one-tap call link, and the "Text" link beside it opens a ready-to-send reply. If they left an email, hitting reply on our alert goes straight to them. "View in dashboard" opens your inbox. If our email service hiccups we retry, and a daily sweep re-sends any alert that still didn't go out.
Change where alerts go#
- On your dashboard, click "Edit" on the site.
- Click the "Settings" tab.
- Under "Lead notifications", type the address in "Notification email(s)". Add up to 5 addresses separated by commas — an office manager, a spouse, a second phone.
- Wait for "All changes saved". There is no save button in the studio.
Leave the field blank and alerts go to the email you sign in with. In the classic editor the field is "Notification email" and you click "Save changes".
Send leads into your CRM#
If you already run a CRM or job-management tool, you don't need a special connection to us. Most of them give you an intake address — look in their settings for "email to lead", "forwarding address" or similar — and you can type that address into "Notification email(s)" alongside your own, as one of the 5. Every alert then lands in your CRM at the same moment it lands in your inbox. If yours has no intake address, a Zapier "Email Parser" mailbox (a free address ending @robot.zapier.com) can take the alert, pull the name, phone and message out of it, and pass them on to almost anything. Either way we're only sending the same alert to one more address — we can't see what the far end does with it, so send yourself a test through your own site's form and check it arrived there. If that address ever refuses mail, alerts re-route to the rest of your list and your dashboard shows "Lead alerts failing" — see Fix lead alert emails that aren't arriving.
Your dashboard inbox#
The "Leads" list shows your most recent leads (up to 200), newest first, each with a phone button and, when they left one, "Email back". Each lead has a status dropdown — New, Called, Quoted, Won, Lost — and an "Add note" link for private notes only you see. Leads still marked New are counted at the top as "leads need a callback".
The Monday summary#
Every Monday morning (US time) we email a recap of the past 7 days' leads to the same addresses as your alerts. A week with zero form leads gets no email. The summary comes from a different sender than your alerts and has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops the Monday summary and our other update emails — it never stops your instant lead alerts, sign-in links or receipts.
Phone taps count too#
Most homeowners tap your number instead of filling in a form. The "Calls this week" tile on your dashboard counts taps on the phone and text links across your site. We only know a tap happened — not whether the call connected — and we store nothing about the caller. Taps also appear in the Monday summary.
What the homeowner sees#
After sending, they see "Thanks — we've got it! Your request is in. Expect a call back shortly." If they gave an email, they also get a short confirmation that appears to come from your business, with your phone number in it. If you've typed an address in "Notification email(s)", their reply lands there. If you left that field blank, replies to the confirmation don't reach you (the email tells them there's no need to reply).
